Glencairn Beach:
Glencairn has a great family beach which is popular with dog walkers and windsurfers too. When the wind blows, it is not uncommon to see kitesurfers catching some air!
Glencairn Wetlands:
The wetlands area in Glencairn is well preserved by an active local community who protect the indigeneous plant species, birds, small mammals and reptiles. Great area for bird watching or join the locals for regular Vlei clean-ups.
Glencairn Whale Watching:

The tidal pool, near the train station was built in the 1920's and is a popular safe swimming area - also used for snorkeling and sunbathing. |
