MEET THE AWESOME FOURSOME…

The Cape Point Route team have been handpicked after an extensive psychometric questionnaire. Through rigorous testing we can confidently say that we have the best, brightest, funkiest, sexiest, coolest team out there!

Barbara Elshove - Schmidt ... Class Captain

Once I…
Managed to convince my employer that I was computer literate. On the first day, it took me a good few minutes to work out how to turn the computer on!

I love…
Dressing up…especially in my Orange Wig! I love to play board games in front of the fireplace at home with my Husband Andrew and kids, Donna and Alex. I really love to collect Mussels from Scarborough and to prepare a Mussel Pot for a group of mates overlooking our lake.

My Claim to fame is…
Starting Cape Point Route from the spare room in my house with starting budget of R770 and a 2 month old child!

My Favourite….
Thing to do is dance like no one is watching and to receive a beautiful bunch of Proteas from my Husband!

Sarah Knight ... Office Operations Champion

Once I...
Volunteered at Sanccob as a young teenager and loved every second if it. I helped to wash the penguins (and other seabirds) and their living spaces, prepared their food, and even made a bird friend or two. :)

I love...
Being creative. In what little spare time I have to myself (I have two young kids after all!) I enjoy baking and decorating sugar cookies, and sometimes making a cake here and there for a friend or family member. And of course the new craze of adult colouring in books!

My claim to fame is...
Having my photo printed in Cape Union Mart's magazine, "The Intrepid Explorer", Winter 2014 edition. My husband and I did the stunning Otter Trail in July 2014 and thought it'd be fun to pose with the magazine while stopping to take in the view and send the photo in.

My favourite...
Pastime is being outdoors, hiking, running, having a picnic. Anything to take in the fresh air, feel the sun on my skin and feel alive. I firmly believe that connecting with nature, even in the smallest way, has a very positive effect on one's happiness.

Rene Glover ... Corporate Rock Starr

Once I…
took a job which involved door-to-door sales in England, let's just say, I am happy I don't do that anymore!

I love...
Educational site inspections! It is a great benefit to my job; I had never seen as many beautiful parts of Cape Town as I have since I have been with Cape Point Route.

My Claim to Fame...
I was in our local newspaper when I was about 4 years old... I was asked to pose with a teddy as they were writing a Christmas article. The (huge) Headline read: " Rene's Christmas Dream".

My favourite ...
thing in the whole world is relaxing with my favourite people, in stunning spots - right on the beach - in beautiful Cape Town.

Madelyn New ... Leisure Rock Star

Once I ...
got stranded on an Island off South America...I WISH!!!

I love..
spending time outdoors with my family and friends. I enjoy mountain trail running.

My Claim to fame is..
I managed a 44km race in Addo Elephant National Park !!

My Favourite ...
chocolate is Lindt. Do feel free to deliver some :)
