Home to an enormous variety of game, including the Big 5 - elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard - giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, many different antelope, baboons, jackal, bat-eared foxes, hippos and crocodiles. And many migratory birds stop en route at the reserve's own wetland.
The Aquila overnight safari doesn’t spare on spoiling. Welcome cocktails are served on arrival, either outside around the pools, or in front of a log fire in the cigar bar. Before the safari departs a sizzling lunch is served at the African character restaurant. For an extra indulgence, book a spa treatment at the new Tranquila Spa.
The overnight safari Cape Town boasts a 2 – 3 hour game drive with an Aquila Game Reserve specialist. Awaiting your return is a traditional African barbecue, cherry champaign over swopping-safari-stories, and luxury accommodation.
Family Luxury Cottages
Family Luxury safari lodge accommodation is a collection of semi detached units, with special attention paid to privacy. Cottages have thatch roofs and feature exterior stone work. Each unit is a unique contemporary African design.
Luxury units feature large en-suite bathrooms with corner baths and outdoor showers. Finishings include a log fireplace, fan, mini bar, coal stove and tea and coffee making facilities.
