Newly built (2009) on the mountain above the harbour in historical Simon´s Town, Mariner Guesthouse offers 4 Star luxury accommodation at affordable rates. As an owner-run establishment, we are able to be flexible and accommodating to our guests’ needs, and can offer a standard of service that is exceptional and personal.

We are within easy walking distance of the town’s centre and shops, outstanding local restaurants, picturesque beaches and Boulders Penguin Colony.

Mariner Guesthouse is an eco-friendly facility and has been architecturally designed with space, comfort and luxury in mind. The decor is an elegant marriage of classic and modern, with a light maritime touch to complement. The building extends over three levels with a double-volume lounge and fireplace, while the dining area has large picture windows and opens onto a protected veranda where guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast, or indulge in some whale-watching and sun-setting, or just relaxing while making use of the built-in barbeque facilities.

Accommodation

• SUPERIOR ROOM (42sq m)
  Elegant and romantic with a beautiful four-poster bed and luxurious linen. This room has a full bathroom with extra-large bath and shower and twin ‘his ‘n hers’ basins. The private shaded balcony is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and views over a glass of wine!  This room is ideal for romantic getaways and honeymoon couples and has the option of requesting “breakfast-in-bed”! 
• LUXURY ROOM (36sq m)
  This spacious and comfortable room offers a queen size bed and a full bathroom with a romantic corner-bath and large shower. Enough space for an additional single bed and a small kitchenette equipped with mini self-catering facilities makes this room well-suited for longer stays. A large private covered balcony provides a sheltered out-door spot to appreciate the spectacular views across the Bay!  
• EXECUTIVE ROOMS (34sq m)
  These 4 large bedrooms all have the option of twin beds or one king size bed - two rooms with an en-suite shower-bathroom and the other two with shower-bath bathrooms. Each room has a small lounge/dining area, as well as a semi-private covered balcony overlooking False Bay and the Simon’s Town harbour. A small kitchenette located on this floor provides facilities for self-catering.  
• SAIL ROOMS (25sq m each)
  Two loft-style rooms - one with a Queen size bed and the other with twin beds. Each bedroom has mountain and sea views and its own en-suite shower-bathroom and air-conditioning.
  
   
• FAMILY UNIT (25sq m each)
  Two (Sail) rooms with an inter-connecting door giving private access between the two bedrooms - ideal for a family with younger children. Each bedroom has its own en-suite shower bathroom and air-conditioning.

Amenities
Mariner Guesthouse offers an on-site Manager to attend to guests, secure off-street parking is available and all guests have use of the on-site gym and free evening shuttle to restaurants.

Each room is serviced daily. A computer-station with free internet access is available as well as e-mail, photocopy and fax facilities from our reception office. A Lapa & braai area set in the indigenous garden offers a relaxed space for informal social gatherings. A full Continental and English breakfast is served daily. Snack platters, picnic baskets and dinner is available on request and by prior arrangement. Tours and transfers can be facilitated.

General Notes

• Check-in time is from 2pm on the arrival date, and check-out before 10am on the day of departure
• A mattress or baby-cot is available on request at no extra charge.
• Children younger than 5yrs stay free of charge (maximum of 2 children per room)
• For children aged 6 - 10 years a service fee of R 320 per child per night (inclusive of breakfast) will be charged if sharing a room with parents (maximum of 2 children per room). Oct 2016 - Sep 2017
