Dunes is situated on the beach, at the mouth of the Hout Bay river. Central to both the picturesque fishing harbour and the majestic, world famous Chapman’s Peak Drive. This easy going beach house has various terraces and balconies to soak up the most breathtaking views on the Cape peninsula.

Our magnificent and unrivalled beach setting allows for a whole range of perfect occasions. Whether you are planning a family celebration, beach wedding or corporate event come and talk to us.
The restaurant has a number of 'sections' which are suitable to a wide range of styles, formality, theme and of course numbers. All are sea-facing leading on to their own terraces. Stretch tents can be used to create further extensions. Groupings start at +/- 20 and up to 450 pax.
Venue fees vary according to: exclusivity required, number of guests, space and season, day and time.
Dunes Restaurant will assist you to tailor-make your own menu from a great selection of proven dishes.
Bookings are recommended to secure a date & avoid disappointment (especially over busy periods) and we suggest considering all weather scenarios.
A 10% service fee is levied on the total food and beverage account. A discretionary service premium is charged on parties closing after midnight.

Jalapeño peppers stuffed with tomato, red onion, peppers, pecans and mozzarella.
Home made smoked snoek paté, served with herbed toasts, pickles and lemon. A local speciality.
Seafoods
Loin of Kingklip topped with a lemon, hazelnut and herb crust served in a butter sauce with home-made chips and grilled vegetables
Traditional fish and chips. Hake caught and prepared in Hout Bay with a homemade beer batter. Served with tartare sauce.
Light Meals
Smoked springbok carpaccio topped with rocket, parmesan shavings, extra virgin olive oil and milled pepper.

Dunes beef burger with a chunky tomato and pickle relish.
