Ambience: The owner is descended from the chief of an ancient Viking tribe hence the name Thorfynn meaning “son of Thor”. Thor was the viking god of thunder. Nature predominates the rustic setting but the restaurant is warm and cosy whatever the weather.
Food: Not many places with an all day breakfast (free range and organic too!); a la carte with seafood and steaks as well as wood fired pizzas and even sushi. Daily winter specials: Monday – curry; Tuesday –pizza; Weds – mussels, Thursday- casserole; Friday – South African specialities; Saturdays – wine paired menu; Sunday – lunch roasts.
Hot tip: A few cozy dens where you can play chess, backgammon, monopoly, cards in front of the fire!
