Cape Point Route FESTIVAL season

ready for spring splashIt’s no secret that Capetonians love to celebrate life and spring brings an added sense of fun and entertainment!  There are various festivals all year round but spring seems to be prime Festival Season.

Spring kicks off with the annual Spring Splash on Fish Hoek Beach to celebrate the season.  All ages, sizes, shapes, colours, creeds and genders take to the waters of Fish Hoek Beach for a communal dip in the ocean to shrug off those winter blues.  Sunday 7 September 2014 – activities on the beach from 12 noon and the main swim at 3pm. Prizes, dress up, laughter, swimming.

We love this free week of entry to South African National Parks.   South African residents can enter the parks  for free with a valid ID.  (Please notes Boulders Beach Penguin Colony and the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway are EXCLUDED!) Kids are the real winner at Cape Point though- check out these specials.

Hout Bay FestivalThe Oceana Hout Bay Seafood Festival:  24 – 28 September 2014

The Festival has a range of activities, Seafood Kitchen Demos, sporting activities, art & music attractions and some Heritage Day Events.  There will be cannon firing, a triathlon, a football tournament, Hout Bay’s Got Talent, Dance productions and a feat for all the senses.
