Where to Watch the Rugby World Cup 2015 in the south peninsula

It’s the biggest rugby tournament in the World.  Rugby World Cup 2015 is being hosted in England from the 18 September – 31 October, 2015.  That’s 6 weeks, with 13 venues.
20 International Rugby teams take on the challenge to be crowned victorious over 48 games. New Zealand are the defending champions,  the hosts hope to repeat their title success of 2003 and 3 teams including South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are all vying to be the first team to have 3 Rugby World Cup titles.

Here are the Rugby fixtures & venues for the South African Team in the Qualifying Rounds.

´The Toad’ as it is affectionately known has a solid rugby pedigree with former Springbok Bob Skinstad one of its founders. The Toad, of course, is a popular hangout come match-day with a number of big screens to make sure you don’t miss a thing. This rustic pub tucked away on Lekkerwater Road, near Kommetjie is a tiny spot with a good vibe.  There is a competition on for every single game with a minimum cash win of R100 per game and it could be up to R500 in cash. Bar prizes too! With 3 TV Screens and one big screen – the bush pub is ready for #RWC2015 ready or not!

There is a TV in the large sunny main room, so if you are enjoying a beautiful day at the beach with the family, then you don’t need to worry about missing the live action. Simply pop in to the bistro for #RWC2015 screenings and why not grab a bite to eat from the extensive menu.

The local Fish Hoek watering hole, fondly called “The Vic” is getting ready for the World Cup, with a series of rugby merchandise for sale behind the bar so that all patrons can support the Boks in style!  with 8 flat sreen TV’s with surround sound & drinks specials during the Springbok  Games, passionate locals and a good rugby vibe, The Vic will be a worthy venue to watch #RWC2015.

This Cape Town institution will be covering #RWC2015 in 3 of their venues.  A big screen is up in the Brass Bell Grill, 2 TV screens in The Cabin local pub and more downstairs.  Add to this the Beer Tower special…  3 litres of beer and 2 pizzas, starting at R300 for Castle beer with the Boerewors Pizza and the Springbok Carpaccio pizza.

They have got their game on and are ready for #RWC2015 and will be screening ALL the games. Catch them in Muizenberg on the corner of Beach and Sidmouth Roads.  The best dude food for rugby watching.

A pub in traditional British style, they have geared up with four big screens and a warm, welcoming vibe.  The Hout Bay local has even prepared World Cup Burgers.  Choose from The Springbok, a springbok and beef patty loaded with avo and biltong or The All Black, a lamb burger topped with feta and roasted tomatoes!
