Community Alien Clearing Project

Solole Game Reserve / Pride Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary is aiming to restore the site for all to its former glory but THEY NEED YOU on Saturday 3 December and Monday 5 December to help clear the alien vegetation. Please see details below.

Hi All

By taking over Solole Game Reserve, Jason Watt has essentially also invested in the community by providing jobs as well l as providing a fun educational place for people of all ages to visit. It is with this in mind that he has requested help from the surrounding community. The key areas of concern are the firebreaks, and the alien vegetation on the farm. This needs to be cleared soon, and unfortunately comes with substantial cost. If there is anyone with some free time on their hands, or if they have any staff that are between contracts that you may be prepared to offer out to help us tackle this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

The plan is to have a community day where all who are prepared to help, get together and tackle the alien infestation starting with the fire breaks in 4 groups, with 2 groups starting on the end of the fire breaks working inwards, and the other 2 starting in the middle working outwards. The proposed dates are Saturday 3 December and Monday 5th December, other dates will also be arranged.

Your help will make a big difference to Jason’s ongoing revitalization efforts at Solole Game Reserve.
Please share this with all your family and friends.

Thank you!
