Simon’s Town loves spring and plans to welcome the season by inviting their friends, residents, neighbours and visitors to celebrate Spring with them over the Heritage Day weekend. 22 – 24 September 2012.
There is a vast programme of events with something for everyone- from Navy Band performances to art, craft, creativity, activity, history and of course lots of food to eat! Join one of South Africa’s most beautiful little towns to celebrate spring and Heritage Weekend.

Sat 22 Sept 2012: Diamondback will play the Blues in the Sculpture Garden on Saturday afternoon from 2.30

Wellness Expo: Sunday 23 Sept 2012
Venue: Simon’s Town Town Hall
Simon’ s Town Town Hall will be the place to test, try, investigate and gather information about all things relating to health, wellness and a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Bringing together a vast and varied array of health practitioners, therapists, holistic healing practitioners and retailers of interesting and alternative products, the Wellness Day promises to be a wonderful, informative and vibrant event.
Come and browse among the stalls, participate in a demo class and get a sample treatment from one of the massage therapists. Delicious and healthy food and beverages will be on sale. Art on the Square:
Calling all artists to come and do their thing under the trees – just bring your easel,/chair/table and set up in the designated areas in Jubilee Square.
Art at the Library:
Gallery of local artists showing painting, sculpture, pottery and glass.
This comedy evening is hosted by Spill the Beans and the Deep South Comedy Collective. To book call Gareth on 021 786 2054 Tickets R40 at the door or from Spill the Beans.
Featuring up and coming comics from the local scene. Be warned this is a no holds barred show and nothing is sacred as the comedians deal with topical issues. Lots of colourful material so don’t come if you are easily offended and certainly not one for kids.
Paddlers Annual Sea Kayak Race and Demo
Sunday 23 Sept 2012: 9.30 am
Venue: Long Beach behind Simon’s Town Railway Station.
Long and short course race with no time limit so just join in the fun and get on the water. Free demos from 11am of the latest fun and fitness kayaks for all the family. Plenty of fun on the beach for all the family so bring your bucket and spades.
