Step 1: Choose your destination or town for your 2012 holiday.

Step 2: Decide on the time of year for your 2012 holiday.

Each season in the Cape has something to offer the visitor depending on your interest levels and some activities are great all year round! Some visits will be based on attending events being held inCape Town.

Summers (Nov – Mar) are warm and dry and perfect for hitting the beach, hiking, biking and all water activities. Early summer often brings a south-easterly wind so an excellent time to try kite-surfing too. Deep sea game fishing is great in March.

Autumn (Apr- May) is the secret season in the Cape with warm days, cool nights and less wind or crowds and the overlapping season means you can participate in summer and winter activities.

Winter (June- Aug) is traditionally cool and wet but when the North Easterly wind blows the False Bay coast is calm for scuba diving and kayaking and there is excellent winter surfing. It is also the season for great white shark cage diving at Seal Island in False Bay.

Spring (Sept – Oct) is whale season so come to the Cape for whale watching. Deep Sea Fishing is best in August/September.
