The "Cape Point Ostrich Farm" is a productive breeding farm. A family-run business which in its existing form, was opened in 1996. The 65 ha farm is owned and run by the 2nd generating of the Coelle Families children.
Being a breeding farm, everything is done to comfort and accommodate 40 breeding Birds. They live in big open spaced camps to ensure that there are always plenty of eggs to incubate.
Experience It
We offer guided and very detailed tours in German, English and French. On our tours throughout the farm, you'll be familiarised with the life cycle of our ostriches and you get to see our breeding station.
We tell you more about the life cycle of the ostriches, all the way from egg to adult ostrich. During the breeding season, quite often you will be able to experience the hatching of an ostrich chick. Our facilities can accommodate up to 800 birds.
Take time out after your tour at the lovely on site tea garden. Take pleasure in the beautiful panoramic views while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and let us spoil you by offering you a wide range of exquisite ostrich specialities.
There is also our Leather shop where we have the largest variety of ostrich leather in the country from Belts, wallets, handbags, shoes, golf bags and lots more. In our unique egg shop, we offer a wide range of hand painted, carved and decoupage ostrich eggs.
Packages
Our guided tours run every half hour and are 25 – 30 minutes long.
