Meet your personal and cultural guide, who will take you to the beautiful and historic Groot Constantia Vineyard where viticulture began. Here you will enjoy a wine cellar tour and a taste of Napoleon’s favourite wine. Morning tea/coffee will be enjoyed on the tranquil lawns of the Jonkershuis Restaurant. Here you will also have the option to wander through the historic Cape Dutch homestead and wine museum.
From Groot Constantia Wine Estate, it is a short drive to the lovingly restored Buitenverwachting Vineyard which lives up to its name meaning ‘beyond expectation’.
Here you will enjoy more wine tasting and an optional picnic lunch on the beautiful lawns under the shade of the oak trees. (Nov - April only)
Steenberg Vineyard is your next destination which holds the distinction of being the oldest farm in the Constantia valley. The wine estate, however, boasts a state of the art modern winery, producing some of the Country’s finest award winning wines. Enjoy the ‘Classic Wine Tasting’ in an ultra-modern setting, and, the option of a 10 minute guided walk through the wine cellar.
From Steenberg enjoy a scenic drive over Constantia Nek in to Hout Bay. Soak up the views of the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive and taste the wines of the Cape Point Vineyards. These are perched high above the peninsula and set in a backdrop of magnificent panoramas and breathtaking sea views. Your final destination is Noordhoek Farm Village for afternoon tea and an opportunity to browse through the local art and craft shops.
