We all know that everybody thinks they are masters of the grid and fire! Secret ingredients to show off your Potjie skills, stunning surroundings and a pinch of competitive spirit is all you need to ensure a memorable and meaningful teambuilding experience. Tread cautiously; you have a panel of Judges deciding who ultimately earns the title of Potjie Master
After a series of icebreakers and getting everyone into the spirit, the group will be split into teams. Each team will be allocated a section with all the essentials for cooking an award winning Potjie.
They will also be given mystery boxes with rules, a budget allowance, a few ingredients, a unique menu to follow with prerequisite ingredients that have to be bought in a pantry with your “bucks”. Whatever money you have left over, you can get creative with!
The teams will start with a fire starter challenge and there will be other challenges during the preparation time in the pantry and surrounds to earn the teams more “bucks”.
There will also be décor requirements so all teams will have a holistic Potjie experience.
After the judges have allocated scores for their meals and presentation, winning teams will be announced and teams will go on to enjoy their meals.
Networking and identifying Leadership:
On arrival your delegates will be split up in their own groups and will need to select a Team name and Team leader.
Each team will be handed a budgeted amount of money to purchase ingredients in order to prepare a starter, main meal and dessert.
Teams will have to decide which team member will participate in each Survivor challenge in order to win extra ingredients.
Sales, Marketing and Presentation:
One / two members in the group will ultimately have to market and sell the meal/s to a panel of Judges.
Unifying the Group:
The actual pot will be prepared by all members within the team.
All of the above tasks are to be completed within 3 hours.
We set up this fun teambuild in one of Cape Town's beautiful city parks, green spaces or public open spaces in consultation to pick the perfect venue for your group size and the time of year. All parks and open space chosen are safe, accessible and with access to clean amenities. Ask us for options.
