An exciting treasure hunt where teams will use the clues in their Race Book and Maps provided to navigate their way around the spectacular Cape Peninsula. Teams will have to locate various checkpoints and complete tasks Amazing Race style. The Cape Peninsula is one of the most beautiful, diverse and spectacular landscapes in the world.
In the Peninsula Amazing race you will not only get to experience this but you will be able to meet the locals, explore the cultures and hotspots, stop at some of the Cape’s best kept secrets and complete many fun challenges and activities along the way. Be prepared.
The Action:
The Group will be divided into smaller teams and each team will receive a race kit containing maps, a team passport, a race book with navigational clues and questions they need to answer en route.
The Experience:
Teams will follow clues in the race book to locate the checkpoints at scenic hotspots and points of interest around the peninsula. You will need to determine the best route to each point. At each checkpoint the team will get their Amazing Race Passport Stamped by a flag wielding marshal. At each checkpoint the team will need to answer questions or perform a task. Each completed challenge, task or clue will lead you to the next stage.
Location
During this exciting adventure teams will navigate their way around the winding coastal roads that make the Cape Peninsula so magnificent. You will be required to find checkpoints at various locations. Theses could include: Signal Hill, Rhodes Memorial, Quaint harbours in Hout Bay or Kalk Bay; Historical Simon’s Town, the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony; Noordhoek Beach or The Cape Of Good Hope.
The Challenges:
Various activities can be included in the Cape Peninsula Amazing Race in challenges that range from mild to wild! Some of these could include:
- Haggling for fish from a Cape Fisherman
- Snorkeling in a tidal pool
- Doing a local Beadwork activity
- Kayaking
- Shopping in a vibrant township craft market
- Gumboot dancing
Start: Cape Town City or Suburbs
Finish: Restaurant or picnic venue of your choice.

Minimum of 20 people. Maximum 200+
A deposit of 50% of the total event cost is required to secure the event. The balance of payment is due 14 days prior to the event.
A cancellation fee of 50% of the total event cost is levied if the event is cancelled within 14 days of the event taking place. A cancellation fee of 100% is levied if cancelled within 7 days of event taking place.
In the event of bad weather, every effort is made to make alternative arrangements.
