An Amazing Race through Cape Town’s Waterfront is a fun and interactive way to discover a different side of this unique historic area while challenging your colleagues in a variety of light hearted tasks.
Discover the history, culture, crafts and marine life of Cape Town’s Waterfront on an action packed Amazing Race style Treasure Hunt. With its numerous curio shops, adventure stores, historical monuments and activity stations the Waterfront proves a treasure trove of exciting and interactive activities.
Experience It
The group will be divided into teams which will each recieve a Race Kit containing a map of the waterfront, a team passport and a race book. The Teams will use the maps provided and navigational clues to find the checkpoints situated around the waterfront. These will include the Adventure gear stores, Curio shops, Diamond Workshops, Robben Island Museum and craft manufacturers.
Activities will include
Blind Kayak Communication exercise, using a compass and GPS to determine positions, finding clues by using a telescope, Completing Crosswords, Solving Riddles, designing team necklaces and artistic posters, posing for a crazy photo, finding pieces of a Giant Puzzle and many team bonding activities.
Teambuilding Value
The Amazing Race is set in out in such a way that Points are weighted for difficulty and proximity of the activity or task, so careful planning and strategy and execution are essential to win this event. The Challenges draw on the teams cognitive, physical and creative skills ensuring that there is something for everyone!
The challenges encourage communication and result in great laughter which ensures a fun and memorable event.
Final Destination
The Rally will end at one of the many fine pubs or restaurants in the Waterfront. We will put together an informal prize giving of the afternoons activities and present it to the group while they enjoy a well deserved beer or glass of wine.
