This award-winning timber frame house situated in the Klein Slangkop Private Estate  was built in 2004 in a small enchanted reserve of milkwood forest, teeming with birdlife. Although secluded, it is surrounded by fantastic mountain and sea views and is situated within a few minutes walk of a stunning stretch of beach and the famous Sunset Reef, a surfer’s paradise.
 
Accommodation
Oystercatcher sleeps 6 comfortably. It boasts a large entertainment area with an open plan, high-ceiling kitchen leading to a welcoming lounge with leather sofas, which flows through double sliding doors onto a wooden deck edging the pool. For quieter moments there is a conservatory and a small library. There are 2 stylish bedrooms downstairs, each with two single beds and shared bathroom facilities (bath and separate shower). 

The spacious master bedroom upstairs with a king-sized bed has fine sea and mountain views and a luxurious bathroom en-suite (bath and separate shower). All bedrooms are secluded, with views onto the surrounding fynbos vegetation. In summer the spacious house with its large windows and wooden floors is light and airy, while in winter it becomes cosy and warm.
 
Adjacent to Oystercatcher is Chapmans Peek accommodating an additional 2 to 4 guests...More
 
An interleading door between Oystercatcher and Chapman’s Peek can be opened to make one extra-large unit accommodating up to 10 guests.
 
Amenities
Oystercater offers the following: four-plate stove with oven and grill, fridge/freezer; microwave, kettle, filter coffee plunger, toaster, snackwich, pots and pans etc., iron and ironing board, hairdryers, fans, heaters, heated towel rails, private safe, TV with DSTV. All cutlery, crockery, glassware, cotton bed linen and towels plus basic necessities supplied. At Oystercatcher there is outdoor furniture, a Weber braai and garaging for two cars, as well as, indoors, a waffle-maker, dishwasher, washingmachine, tumble dryer and DVD player. 
There is a salt water plunge pool (shared with Chapmans Peek). Internet is available, works on a pay-as-you-go system, you would need to bring your own laptop.

Baby friendly
High-chair, cots and linen are available upon request and babysitting services are available by prior arrangement.

Cleaning Service
A cleaning service is included in the rates, not including weekends and public holidays. 

Rates
High Season:  16 Sept - 15 Dec:  R2,400 per day
Peak Season:  16 Dec - 15 Jan:   R3,000 per day
High Season:   16 Jan - 30 April:  R2,400 per day
Low Season:      1 May - 15 Sept:  R1,800 per day

Reservation and cancellation policy
Reservations to be guaranteed in writing. 50% deposit of the entire stay is required upon booking. Balance due prior to checking in.
           
Cancellation fee
21 days or more prior to arrival – deposit fully refundable.
20-14 days prior to arrival – deposit 50% refundable.
13-0 days prior to arrival – deposit non-refundable.
No show will result in 100% of the total stay being charged
