For those not familiar with Google Earth, this is a Free Application that can be downloaded from Google, and which allows you to view almost the entire globe from a satellites point of view and then zoom in to within a hundred meters or so above sea level. This is a great tool for investigating holiday destinations, or even just for a bit of fun research. You could be looking at the Egyptian Pyramids one moment and hovering over Table Mountain the next or following the Cape Point Route to get a better idea of the beauty, beaches and towns along the way. There are also a lot of other useful tools within Google Earth such as Topographical, Geological and even Road map overlays for many regions around the world.
