For those not familiar with Google Earth, this is a Free Application that can be downloaded from Google, and which allows you to view almost the entire globe from a satellites point of view and then zoom in to within a hundred meters or so above sea level. This is a great tool for investigating holiday destinations, or even just for a bit of fun research. You could be looking at the Egyptian Pyramids one moment and hovering over Table Mountain the next or following the Cape Point Route to get a better idea of the beauty, beaches and towns along the way. There are also a lot of other useful tools within Google Earth such as Topographical, Geological and even Road map overlays for many regions around the world. A community has grown up around Google Earth and there are now many location with photographs and other useful information.
The links below are "Placemarks" which will automatically open Googe Earth and take you directly to various locations around the Cape Point Route.
